寿 Cake

My church friend Susan asked if I could bake a "80" theme cake for her dad's birthday celebration last nite. She wanted something not so traditional but with a bit of traditional feel ... so knowing that her dad is attending our Chinese congregation , I've decided to make a No. 8 in the form of a bible cover and a Longevity Bun as the No. 0. Her dad likes to eat, so I made him a bowl of longevity noodle and chose a Bible Verse from 1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, 約翰一書 3:1 " 你看父賜給我們是何等的慈愛 ... " Bookmark is a "寿"  Blessed Birthday Uncle :D
