CNY Bible Book Cover Cake

It was an impromptu decision to bake this cake for sis Diana (Mei Lian) after knowing that her children are collaborating with Mike's eldest Sis (Irene Chan) to surprise her yesterday at the CNY gathering. I've selected the verse Proverbs 31:25 to encourage her after her hubby went home to be with the Lord last year.

Using the excess Lychee Butter batter, I baked this simple "Blessings" cake for Mike's old classmate's mum, Mdm Lam when we visited her on CNY.

February 2015 combined birthday celebration for Michael Chan's Altar Ministry team members Joseph Quek & Eden Chen. 

I've used a CNY theme bible cover design and selected the bible verse , 1 Cor. 13:13. " ...and the greatest of these is love. "

The cake flavour was Lychee Butter.

CNY Blessing Cake

I was so amazed to receive bro YongDe's sharing through SMS when I was thinking of a verse for this cake that I've designed for Mike and his colleagues. How appropriate!

"If you notice the chinese word 'FU' (blessing) actually contains 'YI' (clothing) and 'YI-KOU-TIAN' (a meal of grain). GOD is saying to us to be contented is a blessing. Let me share a scripture . 1 Tim 6:6-8

6.Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7.For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

Verse 8 is talking about 'FU' (blessing), what a relevation!, I didn't know it would lead me to this verse. Praise the LORD."
