CNY goodies

I was 'ambitious' again to try new recipes and found that I really left with not much time ... hahahahahaha ... but still , managed to find some time to do some springcleaning but was still doing more cookies as goodies bags for another coming CNY gathering this saturday.

Those containers were for my mum, mil and sil .. gift bags were for our cell members.

Blessed Chinese New Year

I've made 3 sets of cookies for my mum, mum-in-law and eldest sis-in law consisted of Pineapple Tarts, Almond Cookies, Kuih Bangkit, Butter Cookies, All Berries Nutty Choco Chip Cookies and Peanut Cookies.

Almond Sugi Cookies

I've tried making almond cookies since last year, but unsuccessful .. finally saw this almond sugi recipe .. hmmmmmmmmm, very very yummy .., they are crunchy ..just the way I love them, but gotta reduce the amount of sugar a bit. My friends tasted this cookies and love it, and requested me to include them in my CNY bake next year .. :D

Pineapple Tarts !!!

My cell leader and his wife gave us a box of pineapple tarts which they bought at $11.80 which they find that it's very cheap, Wee Leng told us that the tarts were fantastically nice !! After tasted .., the pastry were dry, but Wee Leng loves this type of pastry .., but certainly not us lor - just felt that storebought cny goodies still not that nice ;!

These huat kuehs tasted sooooo nice, my sis - Mae loves them so much .. so I kept trying and trying, finally I got them all blossomed .. Praise the LORD !!!!!

CNY Bakes

Fulfilled several orders from my ex-colleagues cum buddies .., so thankful to my dearest eve whom is always there to give me support. She even went all the way to rope in her 'kakis' and sis to get order for me .. but being a very very low profile person .. I will just accept orders when they 'remind' me if I am still taking in orders.

Here are my bakes, no time to take pictures for those packed containers, and my digicam's software was down for a period, hence I didn't have any new posts lately.

Coconut Melting Moments - This is a very 'melty' cookies .. I personally love it very much ! :D


Melting Moments - Just normal 'melt-in-your-mouth' cookies, but it tastes yummy if baked with good butter .. all were painstakingly piped .. my hands were so tired after that ... heeeeee






Pineapple Tarts - I did some different designs .. fun though ... but didn't take picture for 1 new design .. no time no time nooooooooooo time !!

Yes .. I did it !!, the texture is melt-in-your-mouth type ..., but I've forgotten the size I've made for last year .. haha, seems like this year's are much bigger .. heeeeeeeeee, got to make them smaller in size .., looks cuter .. Need my dearest Mae to be my tester .. :D





Hmmm.. colour wise ,.. hmmmm, maybe need to be browner ... will adjust the temp and see how .. next batch!!

PEANUT COOKIES


Made them to give to my ex colleagues to try, will be meeting them tonight - we are attending a wedding dinner together .. the cookies still maintain it's standard .. haha .. although I don't like peanuts, so for this recipe, I changed to those fine peanuts with sugar type, much nicer .. I personally felt so ..

MELTING MOMENT


This is a new recipe, I found so many raving comments so thought of trying, they are really melty .. heeeee

ALL BERRY NUTTY COOKIES


Recipe is from Jo .. I like it because there are raisins, dried cranberry, instant oats ( I changed to honey star - no oats at home .. hee )

But next round may try out white chocolate to have them ivory in colour .. :D

Peanut Cookies

Recipe was from Jo, its a keeper .. very crunchy and somehow melts in your mouth ., will taste better with combination of almond powder ., I simply love almonds more than peanuts .. :D it's just me lah

Pineapple Tarts

These are the pineapple tarts I've made during CNY too, sold several bottles of them to ex-colleagues cum good friends and my two buddies - Carol and Eve ..

Mae and David loves them so much , kept asking for more .. hahaha ., and I've made so many of them in 'Rose' designs .. these are 'Melt-in-your-mouth' type .., oh .. got to practice again .., afraid will forget how to make them .. I guess if Mae happens to read this .. she will be jumping for joy now !! hahaha

Fish Nian Gao

They look so sweet and cute ,, don't they? except .. no eyes yet ! haha .. I've added eyes for them later, and kept improvising the taste .. they are nice to eat as it is .., made them during CNY ..
