Chanel Bag Cake theme

My youngest sis asked if I can help her to bake and design a cake to bless her boss' eldest daughter ,  hmmm .. I hardly reject any of my family's request especially this fav sis of mine :D

But .. the problem was .. Pheon wanted to have a Chanel Bag cake .. oh dear!  the 1st thought was .. I really don't like to do branded bag themes and .. how to design a chanel cake for a 10 yr old kid?

I was inspired by a chanel bag cake designed by Elite Cake after doing some google search for inspiration, made some changes to make it uniquely for the little birthday girl.

T-Shirt Cake

helped my church friend (Daniel & Angie)'s son - Previn to bake and design a small farewell cake for their CCA teacher :)

He wanted a simple cake with a certain budget given and sent me a pic of their CCA T-shirt as reference, I wasn't feeling too well last week when I did the cake, hence I can't add in much details for them but just a simple note with a microphone as requested.

My hubby's colleague - Sis Jo bought a new breadmaker recently and started to fall in love with bread making, and we are so blessed to get a loaf of bread from her almost every week, and each time with different flavour.

So I've decided to 'crown' her with the Bake Queen title and so happy that she and Mike's colleagues like it

We wanted to bless sis Joan before her trip back to the USA to visit her family so decided to bake for her and Ps. Tim their favourite Durian Cake for our cell group meeting last Thursday.

Initially I just want to bake a very very simple 8" round cake, but Mike called home from office suggested to have a National Day theme cake to celebrate Singapore's 46th birthday to thank God for His blessings upon our nation. , so need to do last minute changes and came out with this very simple design.

This was a Durian Chiffon with rich Durian Cream .. I only make cream cakes for families, cell group meetings and very close friends :)

Ultraman

Sue told me that her dear nephew wanted to have an Ultraman cake for his birthday.

I've hesitated for a while before decided to give it another try because the little boy was admitted to hospital under treatment for pneumonia, hope that this little cute version of Ultraman will be able to put a smile on his face :)

I am really no good in making any superhero or related theme, done a spiderman theme before and really freaked me out.

My family's May 'babies'

I've to crack my brain to design a cake for my family's combined birthday celebration every year .. but I enjoyed the process :)

My bil - Sam is a Plant Manager with a local construction company, while his eldest son Daryl loves sailing, younger boy Brandon loves to play pc games and our family friend Gigi is a cat lover .. so I've to combine all these 'essence' in a cake but not to make it look too rojak .. it's rather challenging for me but love how the cake looked like .. hahahahaha

I was supposed to decorate a very simple cake for my youngest son's classmate, he called me to place the order with a very very simple request to have only his name and "Happy Birthday" wordings on the cake because he was given a very low budget by his mum over the phone :)

My dearest boy said to me, " Mum, make him a hp cake, Bing Quan is obsessed with all types of android phones" ... I was like "Ah!!? .. my dear boy, the cake will cost more than what his mum will be paying"

However, in order to see the sweet smile on his face, I went to do a google search to find the simplest design that I will be able to make within short time frame and done a simple design cake for his good friend - Bing Quan :D

A simple cake for Geraldine

Baked and decorated a simple cake for my hubby's colleague - sis Geraldine before her trip to Japan, as a volunteer of her church in the relief effort for the earthquake & tsunami victims. To share abroad God's love for the Japanese. : )

Noodle Bowl Cake for my MIL

It was a very last minute notice given to make a cake for my mil's birthday celebration, miscommunication between the cousins .. but thank God that I've managed to complete it.

My 2nd boy - Aloysius suggested to make a noodle bowl so I went to do a google search and found a cake design which looks so fun to make, my youngest boy Aleo came to me and asked if I need his help, so I asked if he could help me to make the carrots, spring onions and egg? He said, no problem .. leave it to me .. haaaaaa .. his work is not too bad hor! heeeeeee It is such a blessing to be able to bake and design/decorate something that make the families happy, and I enjoyed the process throughout the night and especially love to see how they love the cake. Praise GOD !!!

A simple cake for Lydia

I don't know Lydia but while talking to sis Joanne in church last month, knowing that they wanted to bake a durian cake for her birthday but sis Joanne will be away to India for a mission trip .. hence she is unable to bake for her.

She remembered that I've ever baked a durian cream cake for her and Ps Tim several years ago and asked me for the recipe .. thinking that I should be able to help her to bake so I gladly take over her task to bake and decorated it to bless Lydia :D

Praise God for His faithful son - my hubby dear purposely went to buy those yummy durians and helped me to get all the flesh out till midnight .. even came back during his lunch break just to deliver the cake to Tung Ling Bible School for Ps Tim, he just love to serve God and His people whenever he can :)

GOD is good!

Our cell leader's wife -Wee Leng was told by her gynae that she had 2 cysts in her fallopian tube which was a relapse case .. she was advised to go for surgery to have them removed.

Knowing that this was a burden in their hearts for quite some time .. I brought this request to our God in my spirit while preparing to make a cake to bless her as a belated birthday celebration during our cell fellowship meeting on Thursday, instead of putting 'Blessed Birthday' .. I felt so strongly that I have to put 'God Bless Wee Leng'.

Praise God!! God is good! HE is always good!

Wee Leng called me the next day and I felt so blessed that I was the first one that she broke the news to me !!

She went for a check up on Friday .. doctor scanned and couldn't find the cysts anymore !!!

YES!!! God healed her .. I was lost of words when she told me and all I could do was just kept praising God ..

I believed that God has already healed her when she and Yong De went for the altar call at church recently and this is just a confirmation message to encourage me to be strong in faith and in prayer - whether to pray out loud or to have a true compassionate heart to bless others .... Thank you Lord Jesus :D

I made a very simple and super mini moist choc cake sandwiched with a layer of fresh blueberries and another layer of fresh strawberries filled with chocolate ganache.

'Well' Cake for my cell members

Made this theme for 3 of our cell members - Bro Freddy, Sis Peggy & Sis Wee Leng but she was away on a biz trip in China. I had no idea initially on the design but felt prompted to make a 'Well of the living waters' to bless them.

I was amazed that it was indeed a divine inspiration because our Cell Leader shared about our choked well during our cell group meeting on Thursday night and prayed for God to dig & release the spring of living waters...Hallelujah!

Ice Cream Cone Cake

Geraldine forwarded an Ice Cream cake design and wanted this theme for Megan's 3rd Birthday cake this year as they will be celebrating her birthday at an ice cream shop.

Cross Cake

Finally have time to post my cake pictures .. was busy baking cookies for my families and some as gifts for our cell members :D

Baked a buttercake and didn't know what to design for Mike and his 2 other colleagues whom celebrated their birthdays in the same month, so thought of making another Cross cake should be more appropriate :)

Mike chose this verse from Hebrews 10:25 "not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

He said : Ineed we should gather often as His people and drink of the Living Water; speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord.

Tissue Box Cake

It's not easy to decorate a cake without a theme, although Doris didn't give me any stress at all but just told me some of the things that little Yi Jie loves to do .. but this cake did cracked my brain as to how to make it as cheerful as him!!!

Little Yi Jie likes to play with tissue paper .. he loves to pull out tissue after tissue from the tissue box, tear them into pieces .. he is a active boy that smiles a lot. Yi Jie loves to chase after their miniature schnauzer

Their only requirements are to have Happy 1st birthday on the cake or cake board and that the cake design is bright and cheerful.

So, I've decided to make a cheerful tissue box, with bright and cheerful colours to compliment the PM figurine that they provided and was so happy that she likes the design :)

Little Carabelle's apple cake

Christine had been communicating with me since last July on the design for little Carabelle's 1st birthday cake, her requirements were listed :
The background we are thinking of a pasture of green with some trees with the following characters:
- an apple hse (coz my ger likes the 啪啪手，吃平果 song)
- a worm (she like to wriggle like one)
- an ant (the day she steps into my mum's plc, ants always appear within the hse)
- a bee and butterfly (coz she always '招蜂引蝶' into my mum's plc)
- a calf (she's born in the year of Cow)
- a pot of Caramel (her name is Carabelle, which if mispronounces, sounds like Caramel)
- some flowers

However, I've changed the house to an apple with a cute face because since her hubby wanted the calf to have a comical position, so I thought that he might like this idea :D , and am really happy that they really like the design :)
