We were being invited by Grace to their annual family Christmas gathering this year, it's the first time we were involved after many years. They were no doubt a very fun loving group of nice people, but I am praying that they will all come to know our Lord of HIS goodness and be with us ..
As it was our last minute decision to join them, because Mike has initially signed up for the Christmas at Orchard to volunteer to help out .. however, it was cancelled due to some reason ..
So I baked the fruitcake as cuppies and really don't have much time to do the figurines but some very simple designs .. wanted to make a logcake too but .. not really sure if I can make it in time, so, a simple chocolate house filled with candies and cookies in it .., the children and even adults were very surprised when it was torn down ., thanks to the idea from my forum pal - Serene ..
This is my very first chocolate moulded product, if only I have more time to give different colours on the house .., but I have to finish it within 1.5 hour ..

Christmas at Katong
Mr Chan Soo Sen - MP for Joo Chiat was invited to our church's annual event - Christmas at Katong.
Floats lined up ..
My boys enjoyed so much 'riding' on the floats ..
They are our church's most valuable aunties .. on the right is Aunty Kat whom brought us to Christ and to Cornerstone .. Praise the Lord! and thanks so much for Aunty Kat for praying and staying by us throughout ..

Xmas Cuppies again - Mike's colleagues
Mike gave me another challenging mission - we had many balance vanilla cupcakes after the event, so he wanted to bring them back to office to bless his colleagues.
I woke up this morning at 5.30am , after cooking the cereal, I started to make figurines for them .. not much time for me so the designs were very simple.

Christmas Cuppies for JAY Choir - Japanese Mission
After the baking class, we stayed back at church to help out in one of the events .. once reached home at around 6.30pm, dh told me that he needs to bring some yummies to his Japanese Mission at St Andrew Catheral .. so I suggested cupcakes which he had in mind. !!
But gosh! it was very very rushing, I started to do the sugarpaste figurines at 8pm - 11pm, continued next morning at 6.30am and baked brownie muffins and vanilla cupcakes. I was very very tired after helping out in the church - couldn't sleep until 2.30am .. but all is worth - to be able to help out in the church which I've always being hoping for..
Dh said that all were being snapped up in mins .. the Japanese just love the cute cuppies lor .. hahaha

My First ever Baking Class - For KIDS!
Yes, I've finally completed the Gingerbread Man Class for my church's Christmas event on Friday. Not so nervous as I've prayed for our Lord to bless me during the class, and everything went so smoothly.
There were actually 17 kids but 5 of them didn't turn up, although there are a minority of them is very chatty .. but still, not too difficult to handle :D
Overall, they were excited to see how the GBM was done from beginning to icing, the most excited part was nonetheless - ICING! hahaha ..
My camera battery went flat, so Aloysius was not able to take the pictures of my little students' work, will try to get some from sis Wai Leng.

Gingerbread Boys & Girls!
Love these little gm boys & gals .., the texture was very nice, soft though .. I've never eat gbm before but this is a very nice recipe .. Got to learn to do them as Pastor Sharon asked if I could take over to conduct the class for Christmas for little kids.
I was skeptical at first but agreed to teach as it will be fun to teach little children .. not sure if I will panic in the class .. hahaha
