Chef Hat Cake

I've specially made this small cake for my buddy-Carol's hubby whom both are my boys' godparents, I can never thank them enough for loving my boys .. especially their love for my dearest darling Andre, they've been with us throughout all this while :D Alex worked as chef in Japanese restaurant but quit the job just to spend more time with Carol, they are such a loving and kind couple.
I thank God for having such great friends in my life and showered so much love to my boys, I pray for His blessings and mercy in their lives and for their salvation that they will know God in His timing, Amen!

A toque blanche (French for "white hat"), often shortened to toque, is a tall, round, pleated, starched white hat worn by chefs. The many folds on a toque blanche are believed to signify the many ways that an egg can be cooked.[citation needed] Many toques have exactly 100 pleats.-Wikipedia

Doraemon cake

I was feeling so relaxed while doing this last cake order before my Aleo's PSLE :D .. hahahaha, excludes those that I will be doing for my church friends'.
Min Yi was the recipient of this cake which I've made in 2008 and I was so glad that she came back to request me to make one for her good friend - Dennis whom is a radio DJ and was told that he likes green colour, so .. instead of moulding a blue car which was original colour of his car, I turned it into green .. heeeeee and gave it a cute look to brighten up the cake specially for the birthday boy.

Blessed Birthday Cake for Allan

hahahahaha . ya, another muscial theme, this time is for Mike to bring to church this afternoon to bless bro Allan, he is the worship leader in the Japanese Fellowship Service, it's a blessing to have him in the team :D

I don't have much problem this time because it's all about music and I wanted it to be a more lively and cheerful cake, so made those animated musical notes for Allan as he is a fun loving guy, Blessed Birthday Allan :)

Blessed Birthday Cake for Jo

Jo is Mike's colleague whom is also one of their prayer group members in the office, she is also a worship leader at her church's mandarin service, so I need the theme to be somehow related to musicical notes ;P ... I always wanted to bake and design cakes to bless them, and am so happy to know that they like the cake ..,
I always try not to make fondant cakes for close friends and families so this time I made a Lychee Martini Cake for them.

Advanced Teacher's Day Cake

My little darling's classmates asked Aleo about 1 or 2 months ago if I can bake a cake for their form teacher - Ms Koh for this year again, knowing that how my little boy wanted to show his love for this nice teacher, of course I will not say 'No' to him :D
However, these kids only confirmed that they want the cake on last Thursday as they do not want to celebrate Teachers' Day so near to their prelim exam, so I had to work on the design and figurine moulding with quite little time given.
Aleo was anxious to know how I was going to design the cake but one request from them was - Ms Koh must hold on to a hockey stick. As this is the last year for them in Primary School, so I've decided to make each of them a personalised cuppy with their names imprinted on the mortar boards, he was happy and satisfied after seeing how the cake and cuppies look like and helped me to make the hockey stick as I broke the earlier one, later he also drew a stickman on the 'blackboard', so .. he did contributed something for his teacher's cake :D

Peko-Chan

Janice told me that she wanted Peko-Chan for Letitia's 2nd Birthday cake for this year, she requested her cake to be bright and colourful.
I went to google search to find out more about this character and found out that it is actually an advertising mascot for Fujiya Co., (不二家) a famous Japanese confectionery company, which is forever a 6 year old girl in pigtails with her tongue hanging out of the side of her mouth.

"san" and "chan" Name Suffix
Japanese people append the suffix "chan" (as in Peko-chan) to the names of close friends and family members as an expression of fondness and familiarity. This same suffix is also commonly applied to the names of children. Males sometimes receive the more masculine suffice "kun" (as in Poko-kun). Adults invariably receive the suffice "san" which indicates polite respect on the part of the speaker ("san" is rarely used with children).
